Bailey EarsBailey is a soft soul who was picked up as a stray in Fayette County, Ohio. She was in the shelter just a short time before volunteers went into action to get her out and find her a rescue to take her in. Bailey is on the thin side but gaining weight, she has some hair loss and her ears were severely infected. None of this bothered her one bit though. Bailey is the kind of dog who is grateful, loyal, compassionate and special. We are looking for an owner for her that has similar qualities and needs a partner to lift the spirits of others. Bailey would make an excellent therapy dog if given guidance and the opportunity.

Bailey side

Bailey has a mass on her belly that is not bothering her. We are having it removed once she has gained some weight. She is being treated for the ear infections with topical medicine. She had had a full blood panel and we have discovered she is hypothyroid (which explains the hair loss) so she is on medication for that. Bailey is heartworm negative, microchipped, spayed and fully vaccinated. She is ready to find her forever home!

FOSTER HOME REPORT:

Bailey is a very sweet, gentle, laid back girl. She loves people and other dogs; not sure about cats. She’s happy just laying around and chilling but she also likes to play, go for walks, and spend time outside. She barks occasionally but she’s not annoying about it (like my two are). She’s good in the car and enjoys going for rides. Bailey walks pretty well on a leash and she’s getting better about climbing stairs. She listens really well, wants to please, and she’s definitely treat motivated. We’ve been working a little bit on basic commands. The only negative that I can come up with is that she does have occasional accidents in the house. I think she would do best in a home where she will be alone for only a few hours at a time. You seriously can’t go wrong with this dog. She is an A+++++ secondhand mutt.
