Billy Goat

Billy Goat is an arrival from the City of Cleveland Kennel – he was abandoned by his owner without an explanation. Authorities had to come out to the home to get him and take him to the city kennel. The Cleveland Animal Control volunteers do a wonderful job of informing our rescue, and others, of dogs who have reached “urgent” status. We feel an obligation to these dogs in our city that are often overlooked to help them find forever homes. Billy Goat was scheduled to be euthanized until we showed up to take him on his “freedom ride” to our facility.

Billy loves kids and has the ability to make an excellent therapy dog!

Billy Goat is a gentleman. We believe with some basic obedience training he has what it will take to be a therapy dog. We would encourage whomever adopts him to enroll him for the Thera-Pits therapy program to take a therapy course. Billy Goat is neutered, up to date on shots, microchipped and ready for a home. He loves other dogs and has adjusted well to meet the pack at The Mutt Hutt. We estimate his age to be 2-3 years old. He is medium sized, brindle, short-haired coat.

We are not a traditional shelter, we are a cage-free facility. All dogs are temperament tested and must get along with other dogs to stay here. Appointments must be made in advance to meet our Secondhand Mutts. Please call 216-664-9660 or emailrescue@secondhandmutts.org to set up a time. We are closed on Sundays. We prefer to adopt to local families but will consider long distance adoptions.

Dog Adoption Fee: $150 – I am microchipped!
