Kookie

ADOPTED! April 14, 2015

Kookie (former Secondhand Mutt “Cindy Lou Who”) was adopted in August 2014 and is being returned to no fault of her own. Kookie’s owners adopted her and their senior dog at home was slowing down more than they expected and couldn’t keep up with Kookie. They thought in the best interest of their senior dog enjoying its golden years Kookie would be better matched with a family who had a younger dog or more active lifestyle to give her what she needs as a young dog. Kookie loves to play at daycare and gets along with all the dogs she meets. She is just under a year old, weights 35-40 pounds and will stay a medium sized shepherd mix.

Kookie is now living in a foster home with a 60 pound Labrador Retriever (also a former Secondhand Mutt whose owners now foster for us) and she’s doing well. She is being crate trained. We will post a full foster report soon.

We are not a traditional shelter, we are a cage-free facility. All dogs are temperament tested and must get along with other dogs to stay here. Appointments must be made in advance to meet our Secondhand Mutts. Please call 216-664-9660 or email rescue@secondhandmutts.org to set up a time. We prefer to adopt to local families but will consider long distance adoptions.

Adoption Fee $200
