Paws Pantry helps financially burdened families with pet food donations. Drop off your cat, dog, gerbil, fish or other pet food items and we will make sure your donation gets to and Paws Pantry for distribution. |

FLEA & HEARTWORM PREVENTATIVE DRIVE
Flea season is right around the corner and the Secondhand Mutts need their preventative. Donate any size Frontline Flea preventative or Interceptor heartworm preventative and help out a dog in need. |

KITTY & CAT SUPPLY DRIVE
Berea Animal Rescue has hundreds of homeless cats and needs an endless supply of cat litter, catnip and ground cat food. Make your donation during the month of April and the ARF cats and kittens will sure thank you. |

RAFFLE BASKET DRIVE
Secondhand Mutts busy volunteers love to build baskets for the summer event season. Many of our raffle baskets generate hundreds of dollars for the adoption program. We can use pet toys, bones, treats, gift items and baskets. |

SENIOR VITAMINS & SUPPLEMENTS DRIVE
The old dog friends being taken care of at the Sanctuary for Senior Dogs could use some vitamins and supplements while they grow old looking for a home. The old dogs need glucosamine/chondroitin; vitamin C; Omega 3; Glycoflex 1, 2, and 3; Lutein 20 mg; vitamin E. Drop them off and we’ll see that the Sanctuary for Senior Dogs receive your donation. |

Tremont ArtWalk Doggie Disco
Gather round as we kick off the summer for a low-key $5 admission fee fundraiser for Secondhand Mutts. The Mutt Hutt opens its doors and puts out some light appetizers for your enjoyment. Throw a disco ball and good music in the mix along with the Tremont ArtWalk traffic, add some dogs and you've got a "Doggie Disco"! Held from 7 PM - 9 PM.

PEDIGREE DOG FOOD DRIVE
Summer is our busiest time for taking in dogs and Secondhand Mutts could use the extra food. The dogs in our program eat Pedigree Crunchy Bites & Bones and various Pedigree wet food selections. |

Secondhand Mutts Reunion in conjunction withTremont ArtWalk
This is the event when we pot-luck party with past and present Secondhand Mutts and owners. All who have adopted, volunteered or just enjoy our program are invited to come and celebrate BBQ style at The Mutt Hutt. We fire up the grill and make hamburgers and hot dogs and ask that you bring a dish to share. Beverages provided and fun for your dogs. More information to come! |

Taste of Tremont
Secondhand Mutts and The Mutt Hutt are teaming up for the second year in a row to be a part of the ever so popular "Taste of Tremont". This event yields thousands of locals and visitors on Professor Street. Music, great food, a beer garden and entertainment goes all day from 1 PM - 8 PM. Look for the SHM's booth and meet up with some of our dogs and volunteers. |

TOWEL DRIVE FOR RESCUE RAVE
Bring in your old bath towels and they will be distributed among the participating rescues at the 2010 Rescue Rave held on Sunday, September 16, 2010 at Gateway Animal Clinic. |

FOSTER FAMILY AWARENESS DRIVE
Foster Families are hard to come by so in September we want to educate and recruit families to help the dogs in our program so they get a much needed break in a real home environment. |

3rd Annual Rescue Rave: The-Dog-Gone-Home-Show
Join two dozen rescue and shelters as they gather at Gateway Animal Clinic for an afternoon of fun in the sun! This event is in its third year and growing. Secondhand Mutts will have a booth at this event and will be showcasing dogs during the Dog-Gone-Home-Show where celebrity judges will choose winners of many creative catagories ("Best Tail Wag", "Best Ears", and "Best in Show"). More information coming as the date approches. |

4th Annual Muttsquerade
This is the signature event of the season and always a good time! The Mutt Hutt opens its shared space with Secondhand Mutts and watches dozens and dozens of dressed up pooches saunter their way into our haunted daycare. Admission is $10 for one adult and one dog and $5 for each addition dog, adult or child. Food and beverages are provided. More information to come!

BLANKET & DOG BED DRIVE
Burrr.....it’s getting cold and the doggies need a warm blanket to snuggle with. Donate your old blankets or comforters and they will get great use at the Secondhand Mutts shelter. Donate $20 and we will purchase a cedar chip stuffed dog bed from COSTCO for the doggies to use. |
