Frenchie

ADOPTED! July 1, 2016

FrenchieSHM_freedom

FrenchieSHM_bedFrenchie enjoyed her “freedom ride” from the City of Cleveland Kennel to our doors. She was picked up as a stray and taken to the kennel on May 2, 2016. She is a happy-go-lucky girl and energetic. We are seeking a foster home for her to move into so we can get to know her better and she can decompress from being at the kennel and get some much needed sleep. She is in quarantine and being treated for kennel cough which is common for strays dogs with no known medical history and she will remain in quarantine for a week while she takes antibiotics. Frenchie is a fawn colored pitbull mix. We estimate her to be under 2 years old.

Her first walker today reported she was an excellent walker and stayed closed, had no reaction to traffic or walking under a highway underpass. She waited to relieve herself until she was outside. She know some basic commands (sit and paw for starters). Frenchie is up to date on shots and microchipped. She will be spayed soon!

We are not a traditional shelter, we are a cage-free facility. All dogs are temperament tested and must get along with other dogs to stay here. Appointments must be made in advance to meet our Secondhand Mutts. Please call 216-664-9660 or email rescue@secondhandmutts.org to set up a time. We are closed on Sundays. We prefer to adopt to local families but will consider long distance adoptions.

Adoption Fee $200
