Gilly is a Miniature Schnauzer mix. She was found as a stray and picked up by a Good Samaritan. She was scanned and reunited with her former owner but that owner was not the most recent owner as she had been given away to someone else. Her second owner was nowhere to be found and the original owner wanted her to find a forever home so she has been surrendered to our organization to help find her one. Gilly is just under 3 years old.

She just arrived so we will have more information on her in the coming days. She is a little shy at first but comes around quickly. She likes other dogs and being on laps. She is not spayed but scheduled for her surgery later this month. She is up to date on shots and her microchip will be transferred when she is adopted.

We are seeking a foster home for Luther. If you are interested in fostering and are willing to do some basic training in the home with our guidance that will be required. Please contact our volunteers at foster_coordinators@secondhandmutts.org.

We are not a traditional shelter, we are a cage-free facility. All dogs are temperament tested and must get along with other dogs to stay here. Appointments must be made in advance to meet our Secondhand Mutts. Please call 216-664-9660 or email rescue@secondhandmutts.org to set up a time. We are closed on Sundays. We prefer to adopt to local families but will consider long distance adoptions.
