ADOPTED! April 23, 2012

muttmatchlogoLemonSHMLemon is nearly a year old, she is a blue Doberman Pinscher. She was surrendered to us from a family who wanted to be fair to her and make sure she had a great life. They could not provide a Doberman with what they need most….exercise and attention. We are grateful they reached out to us to help get her a great home and we are confident she will find one through our Mutt-Match Program.

Lemon is currently in foster care, getting lots of attention from her new Doberman friends. She has had one day of play at The Mutt Hutt but will continue with socializing this week. She arrived in her heat cycle so she was unable to play on the daycare floor right away. She is up to date on shots and will be spayed prior to her adoption.

Lemon is your typical young, puppy, Doberman. She has energy, energy, energy to burn. Did we mention she is energetic? But she is also able to relax when the fun time is over and just take a long nap. She is housebroken, has not been destructive out of a crate during the night or when left alone (with other dogs though) in the home. She LOVES food. She is highly food motivated, not aggressive, and needs lots of work on manners when it comes to sit and stay.

Lemon’s potential adopter is meeting her this week and we are hopeful she will get along with their other dog if they choose to have them meet through our foster-to-adopt program. In the event she is not a match with this adopter we have a few other applicants who have expressed interest in a Doberman to reach out to before she is up for adoption to the public.

We are not a traditional shelter, we are a cage-free facility. All dogs are temperament tested and must get along with other dogs to stay here. Appointments must be made in advance to meet our Secondhand Mutts. Please call 216-664-9660 or emailrescue@secondhandmutts.org to set up a time. We are closed on Sundays. We prefer to adopt to local families but will consider long distance adoptions.

2013 Dog Adoption Fee: $250
