Logan is a 10 month old Labrador mix. He is brindle in color, around 45# and as nice as can be. He was adopted from a local shelter as a pup and the owners were unable to provide for him so a friend convinced them to ‘Respect the dog’ and they asked if we could help find him a home. Luckily we had a foster home available to take him and he passed our behavior evaluation and we admitted him. Logan is an active pup, he knows some basic commands and he is crate trained. He gets a little nervous going for car rides because he hadn’t had much exposure to them. He is healthy, up to date on shots, house-trained and neutered. Logan is ready to find a forever family!

MEDICAL UPDATE: Shortly after arriving at our facility Logan injured his rear leg and needs a total knee replacement. We are now seeking a foster home where he can stay for two months, mostly crated, so his knee heels after the surgery. We will be in need of funding to care for his surgery and Logan is now a recipient of The Extra Mile program.
We are not a traditional shelter, we are a cage-free facility. All dogs are temperament tested and must get along with other dogs to stay here. Appointments must be made in advance to meet our Secondhand Mutts. Please call 216-664-9660 or email rescue@secondhandmutts.org to set up a time. We are closed on Sundays. We prefer to adopt to local families but will consider long distance adoptions.
