Pixie is a petite Doberman female. She was transferred to us from Southwest Ohio Doberman Rescue (they are currently pausing adoptions and intakes) as she was one of their adoptable dogs placed at 9 months old and recently returned by her owners. SWODR does not turn away their dogs and given their current state Pixie was moved into a boarding facility at a veterinary clinic prior to her transfer.
She was surrendered with a history of killing a chicken at her prior owners home and therefore is not eligible to live with chickens or birds. Pixie is up to date on shots, microchipped, house trained and spayed. Pixie has moved to a foster home and is currently living with 3 other dogs and a very dog-friendly cat. She is doing well living in the company of dogs and showing no signs of separation anxiety as her former owners reported she had suffered from this.
