ADOPTED! January 5, 2015
Ribbon is a 8 month old Lab/Shepherd Mix. She was at risk of being euthanized because of her cage-reactivity and lack of space at the local animal control facility. Once out of her cage the volunteers dubbed her a friendly gal with a puppy attitude and worked hard to find a rescue to take her in. We were glad to come to her rescue on the day she was scheduled to be put to sleep. Another great dog saved and we know she will make any family happy when she is adopted.
Ribbon is a puppy and she is in her chewing phase so she will need to be supervised, given lots of exercise and learn to be crate trained (we do recommend this to puppy owners). She is obedient and eager to please. Ribbon is up to date on her shots and microchipped. Due to a suspect skin bald spot she will need to remain in quarantine or in a home without dogs for 3 weeks. If you are interested in adopting her and have other dogs and your application is approved she will not be available until after the new year. If you don’t have other dogs in the home she would be available to adopt after she is spayed.
Ribbon is seeking a foster home so we can learn more about her and pass the information on to applicants wanting to adopt her. If you would like to foster Ribbon please email our volunteers atfoster_coordinators@secondhandmutts.org.
