Reese and Rugar were surrendered together by their owner due to a change of life. She was unable to keep the dogs and wanted them to have a better opportunity and find a home through a reputable rescue. They do not need to be placed together.

Rugar has been through a big change losing his owner and coming to our facility and we are glad that he has his brother here. He is making new friends quickly both dogs and humans.  We prefer to place him in a home with someone who has owned or has Great Dane experience. Rugar is a calm spirited dog, a little shy at first and only knows a few commands. He had lived in a home with a 5 and 7 year old child. Great Danes of his age eat 8-10 cups of food per day (divided into two meals). This is a dog that could break your budget if you don’t plan a budget. He should be eating a high quality grain free food.

If you would like to meet Rugar or both Rugar and Reese please email us to set up an appointment.
