Ted is a big old hunk of love…..and he has “happy tail” to boot! Ted was so excited to leave the county kennel in West Virginia he wacked his tail so hard it started to bleed (thus, “happy tail”). Ted was found as a stray and taken to the local shelter that is over run with dogs and forced to euthanized dogs when they are overpopulated. We were happy to add Ted and Rogan to our adoption family and help find them homes.
Ted just arrived and will be moving to a foster home where we will get a report about his at home behavior and update on how he is doing. He has acclimated well with the pack and is seemingly a happy-go-lucky fellow that loves other dogs and people. Hounds can be mischievous and tend to hunt for food and little critters but they are also excellent family pets. They do require a lot of exercise and Ted is no exception.
Ted is up to date on shots and will be neutered prior to his adoption.
Check back for an update on Ted or email us if you would like to meet him.
FOSTER HOME REPORT
He is a very sweet dog and their were no issues with him and my Greyhound Zinc. Ted has a very high scent/hunter drive. He really just likes to be outside all the time. Actually, it is difficult even getting him to come back inside as I have resorted to coaxing him with treats and putting him back on leash to get him inside my house. He basically runs around the yard catching various scents like hound dogs do.
