Student Volunteer Program

Juniorvolunteers2Our Student Volunteers, Antonia and Marissa, are helping Lilli find a new home at Pet People where we host many of our monthly Meet-Our-Mutts adoption events. We welcome students to give back their time to the community and help our dogs in the process. Whether it be a school requirement or just a passion for animals we are here to aid your children along the way. Our adoption events are a great way to expose our dogs to the public, get exercise and hopefully meet their future owners. At these events we need responsible chaperones to transport them to the event, spend 1 to 3 hours being the dogs handler/spokesperson and then returning them to our facility. Parents are not required as we always have a Secondhand Mutt representative overseeing the events and chaperones. We do require a volunteer application in advance and will give parents a permission form for children to volunteer with us.
