Zeus and Hercules are 8 week old puppies. They were part of a pack being given away by someone living in Cleveland. When our volunteer saw the “Free Puppies” sign they contacted us and then we talked to the dogs owner and said we could help by making sure the pups that were left got vaccinated, altered and great homes. There were two left so we took the pair. The puppies parents are a Husky and a Hound dog and both dogs were very nice. We placed the pups in a foster home where they have been crate trained and house trained.
Zeus and Hercules are not eligible for our foster-to-adopt program due to their age and adoption interest. They will be neutered in July.

We are not a traditional shelter, we are a cage-free facility. All dogs are temperament tested and must get along with other dogs to stay here. Appointments must be made in advance to meet our Secondhand Mutts. Please call 216-664-9660 or email rescue@secondhandmutts.org to set up a time. We are closed on Sundays. We prefer to adopt to local families but will consider long distance adoptions.
