Alan is a 5-6 month old Terrier/Retriever/Mutt. He was picked up in the City of Cleveland stray and taken to the Cleveland Animal Care and Control facility to wait for an owner to claim him or adopter to adopt him. While visiting the kennel to intake Ethel we stumbled upon Alan and figured he would be a good fit for our program and decided to take him in too. We are currently seeking a foster home for Alan to transition into while we find a forever home applicant to match him up with.
He is your typical puppy – full of energy and life, playful and mischievous. He would benefit from having someone in his life that has time and energy to invest in exercise and structure. With his adoption we offer a training assessment with Anthony at The Mutt Hutt Dog Training Center and discounts on a training program.

Applications are responded to with an auto-response message indicating your application has been received. Please check your Spam folder as our mail sometimes does not make it into inboxes due to spam filters. Please add rescue@secondhandmutts.org to your approved senders list. We are a volunteer run operation and applications can take anywhere from 3-7 days to process. Please notify your references when you list them on our application and give your listed veterinarian authorization to release your current or previous animals records to our volunteers. If you have never owned a pet before please research the breed you are interested in adopting to understand the needs of the breed and list the name of the veterinarian you plan to use if you do adopt.
