Betty

ADOPTED! April 25, 2014

Poor Betty, found in the Flats of Cleveland, starving, cold, and dirty. A Good Samaritan took her in to help get her back on her feet. The gentleman that found her said that her bones were sticking and she was ravenous with her food, but now he feels she understands that she will be fed and has slowed down when eating. She is slowly gaining weight. Betty was checked for a microchip and for an owner to post flyers or ads in the paper or Craigslist but nobody was looking for her. Betty is good with dogs, ok with cats (she’ll chase them just to play), good with older kids ages 10-12. She has not been kid tested with younger children but we don’t imagine there would be any issues. Betty is housebroken and submissive to a male voice. Betty is a two year old terrier mix.

Betty is moving into a foster home and we will give a full, detailed, foster home report in the coming days.

We are not a traditional shelter, we are a cage-free facility. All dogs are temperament tested and must get along with other dogs to stay here. Appointments must be made in advance to meet our Secondhand Mutts. Please call 216-664-9660 or email rescue@secondhandmutts.org to set up a time. We are closed on Sundays. We prefer to adopt to local families but will consider long distance adoptions.

Adoption Fee $200
