Red Rosie

 ADOPTED! September 27, 2014

RedRosieSHM2

Red Rosie is a large American Bull Dog / Dogue de Bordeaux mix. She is red in color and weighs around 75 pounds. Rosie was surrendered to a local vet a few months ago and placed in a home but is now looking for a new home. The pack dynamics in her current home are not working with two female dogs and one of them is older so the energy levels are also a factor. Red Rosie is attending weekly training sessions and is very smart. She is under a year old. Rosie can be bossy and may do best as an only dog or do well in a household with a confident male or a submissive female who can let her be in charge. She is large and growing and will require an experienced dog owner.

Foster Home Report

Rosie is a happy, happy girl who loves meeting new people, swimming, kids, and wrestling with her friends at the dog park. She is good with cats, chickens, and most other dogs. Rosie is crate trained, house trained, knows basic commands and walks well on leash and off leash in the park.

We are not a traditional shelter, we are a cage-free facility. All dogs are temperament tested and must get along with other dogs to stay here. Appointments must be made in advance to meet our Secondhand Mutts. Please call 216-664-9660 or email rescue@secondhandmutts.org to set up a time. We are closed on Sundays. We prefer to adopt to local families but will consider long distance adoptions.
