Ruby made it out of her double eye surgery, she is doing well despite the “cone of shame” she will be wearing for 14 days.

Here is the update post-op from the Eye Care Center for Animals in Akron. Both of Red Ruby’s lenses have been replaced with new implants. Within the next 24 hours her vision will start coming back and over the next two weeks we expect to SEE a full recovery. Ruby is staying on a low-activity lifestyle for the next 4 weeks, she will need to wear a cone around her neck for two weeks, eat soft foods and low-fat food for the next week. In addition to her eye drops she is now getting 2 additional drops four times a day, antibiotics, pain medicine and a lot of TLC from her mom Barb.
