Cleveland, OHPlease welcome Shortcake to our adoptable family. Big thanks to Jim for stepping in and offering a foster home which allowed us to take her in. She is a transfer from the Cleveland APL after it was determined she was overwhelmed in a kennel environment. We partner with traditional kennel-based shelters and rescues and help when we can get dogs out of those environments and into our cage-free environment because we know that the change usually has a good effect on a dog. Shortcake is no exception to this rule.
Shortcake is under a year old, she is a Border Collie / Spaniel mix.
She is about 8 months old, a spaniel mixed with Border Collie. She will need some confidence building, but is otherwise an affectionate girl. We will know more about her once we hear back from her foster Dad next week. Please stay tuned for a full foster-home report.
We are not a traditional shelter, we are a cage-free facility. All dogs are temperament tested and must get along with other dogs to stay here. Appointments must be made in advance to meet our Secondhand Mutts. Please call 216-664-9660 or emailrescue@secondhandmutts.org to set up a time. We are closed on Sundays. We prefer to adopt to local families but will consider long distance adoptions.
2013 Dog Adoption Fee: $200
Adoption fees cover your dog being fully vaccinated, heartworm tested, spayed or neutered health checked, temperament tested, microchipped and socialized.
