Jesse

This is a classy lady indeed. Jesse is a five year old female Doberman Pinscher. Her ears are cropped, but they flop. She was spayed within the last few months. Her prior owner could no longer afford to take care of her or have the time due to financial adjustments in her life. She raised her since she was 8 weeks old and it was very emotional to give her up. Jesse is used to being around other dogs and loves attention from people – most Doberman do. Jesse would love a home where she can just sit and relax with her owner, take some walks, and eat treats! Jesse went to a foster home for a few days and the report is she is very “velcro” and would do best in a home with a retired couple, single person and quiet atmosphere where she can get all the attention for herself. She may be a little protective around other dogs in a household so she would need to be matched with the right dog already living in a home.

Secondhand Mutts is not a traditional shelter, we are a cage-free facility. All dogs are temperament tested and must get along with other dogs to stay here. We prefer to adopt to local families but will consider long distance adoptions.

Adoption fees cover your dog being fully vaccinated, heartworm tested, spayed or neutered, health checked, temperament tested, micro-chipped and socialized.
