Sesame

SesameSHMSesame is a Pointer/Lab mix picked up as a stray in Cleveland and taken to the city kennel where she waited for her owners to claim her, but nobody did. She ended up on the “urgent” list scheduled for euthanasia unless a rescue stepped up to save her. So, we saved her. This gal is a very balanced dog all around, she loves people, responds well to commands, and is extremely “chill” for the breed. Sesame arrived and was sick with a cold so she has not yet been socialized with our pack. She does have a good friend, named Haven, who was pulled the same day from the kennel and the girls are best friends.

Sesame is being spayed on May 22 and then she will get to meet and play with the pack a few days after her recovery period. We are seeking a foster home for her to recuperate in.

We are not a traditional shelter, we are a cage-free facility. All dogs are temperament tested and must get along with other dogs to stay here. Appointments must be made in advance to meet our Secondhand Mutts. Please call 216-664-9660 or email rescue@secondhandmutts.org to set up a time. We are closed on Sundays. We prefer to adopt to local families but will consider long distance adoptions.

2013 Dog Adoption Fee: $200
