Fergus was picked up as a stray from the city of Cleveland and nobody came to claim him. He arrived looking like a shag rug that someone had been dancing on for months – a matted mess. Luckily for Fergus we have the best volunteer groomer, Bonnie from The Mutt Hutt, who dedicates her time to making dogs like Fergus feel better about themselves. Fergus is a shy guy, a little reserved, and headed to a foster home so we can get a full report on his character. Please stay tuned until we hear back in a few days about him.
Check out what he looked like when he arrived:
We are not a traditional shelter, we are a cage-free facility. All dogs are temperament tested and must get along with other dogs to stay here. Appointments must be made in advance to meet our Secondhand Mutts. Please call 216-664-9660 or email rescue@secondhandmutts.org to set up a time. We are closed on Sundays. We prefer to adopt to local families but will consider long distance adoptions.
