Shirley

Lavern (Cocker Spaniel) and Shirley ( Siberian Husky) are from the same prior owner. The owner passed away and the local animal control officers stepped in and removed the dogs from the home when no other family members took responsibility for them. Shirley is about 2 years old, she is not spayed yet (will be prior to her adoption), she is more on the skittish side and tends to shy away from men and children. She is living in a foster home with an adult male, female and 4 year old boy and doing okay. 

Shirley is house trained, she loves other dogs and in time with some confidence building will make an excellent pet for her new owner. Lavern is bonded to Shirley and also living in the same foster home. We are willing to separate the dogs given their ages and know they will both do well if this happens. Ideally, we’d love to keep them together.

We are not a traditional shelter, we are a cage-free facility. All dogs are temperament tested and must get along with other dogs to stay here. Appointments must be made in advance to meet our Secondhand Mutts. Please call 216-664-9660 or emailrescue@secondhandmutts.org to set up a time. We are closed on Sundays. We prefer to adopt to local families but will consider long distance adoptions.

2013 Dog Adoption Fee: $200
Adoption fees cover your dog being fully vaccinated, heartworm tested, spayed or neutered, health checked, temperament tested, micro-chipped and socialized.
