Congratulations to Cranberry and her new family! We are so touched by their sons connection with her, we love the pictures they’ve shared. This makes our day here at Secondhand Mutts!

“There is no way our kids are ever giving this dog up, and we’d like to make it official. Gus, our 3-year-old, has changed Cranberry’s name to Ruby Firefighter Dog (and we are not allowed to shorten any part of it). She is doing well. She has made herself at home and sleeps with Gus- running upstairs and joining them for storytime every night as well. She does need to learn some manners, but we’re here to help her. She already has a Xmas paw stocking hanging on the fireplace mantel. Here is a picture of our son, Gus, reading to her to.”
