Conn

ConnSHM_bodyADOPTED DECEMBER 31, 2015

Conn, a 65# black and rust Doberman Pinscher, was found as an abandonment case in a some what rural area Youngstown and was taken to the shelter and was never claimed by his owner. He was skinny and had an ear injury and bite wound on his chest. Thanks to our rescue partner, Paw Platoon, in Younstown Ohio Conn was rescued and is now with us looking for a forever family. We were contacted by the director of Paw Platoon in July about a middle-aged, male Doberman who was in need of a rescue. Their rescue did not have any foster homes available and time was running out for him at the county shelter. We agreed to take him and Conn was moved to a boarding facility until he could get transported north after his neuter surgery.

He received lots of TLC while waiting to become part of the Secondhand Mutts family and now he is looking for a home to call his own. Conn has a very sweet and gentle disposition. He loves to hug and give paw and be by your side. Conn is estimated to be 5 years old, he is up to date on shots, he is microchipped and neutered. He will be moving to a quiet foster home where we will get to know his personality in a home environment. Conn has cropped ears and a docked tail.

We feel Conn, given his age, would do best in a home without young children or other dogs so he can be an only dog and enjoy the company of humans. If there are children in the home we would require they are 12+ in age.

fosterhomeWe are seeking a foster home for Conn. If you have not fostered for us before please email our volunteers at fostercoordinators@secondhandmutts.org for more information.
