Pancakes! Local Chef Created Omelets! Grits and Oatmeal Bar! Mimosas! Vegetarian Meat Option Available! Kids Option! Raffle Baskets, Merchandise and of course a few of our dogs!

Come celebrate our 10th year serving up the best breakfast fundraiser in Cleveland. In addition to serving our main event dish of both delicious plain buttermilk and chocolate chip filled pancakes we have teamed up with several local chefs who will be serving custom made omelettes. Providing our supporters with plenty of fresh ingredient options each chef creates their own omelette concoction with loads of choices to keep your taste buds happy. Omelette service starts at 9:30 and ends at 11:30. Breakfast includes seasoned breakfast potatoes, sausage, bacon, turkey bacon, vegetarian sausage, and orange juice and fresh brewed coffee.

This year we are offering a Grits and Oatmeal Bar to add to your breakfast experience. Both of these traditional belly warming breakfast treats will be offered with a variety of toppings such as maple syrup, nuts, raisin, chocolate chips, jams, etc. We are also offering orange juice mimosas again for a suggested donation of $3/each.

Our Pancake Barkfeast fundraiser is vegan and vegetarian friendly! We offer a vegan friendly scramble, vegan pancakes, vegetarian sausage, seasoned potatoes and our vegetarian friends can indulge in our buttermilk pancakes as well. Our new oatmeal and grits bar (with plenty of toppings to choose from!) is both vegetarian and vegan friendly.

Barkfeast History

Barkfeast started ten years ago to honor “Scramble”, a senior Doberman Pinscher who was thrown from a truck and taken to a shelter in Youngstown, Ohio. Here it was discovered he was heartworm positive and needed a second chance on life. Secondhand Mutts stepped in and saved his life.

Luckily we were able to secure a foster home for Scramble with Brad who ultimately adopted Scramble. Scramble received the necessary medical treatment and survived having been heartworm positive. Scramble lived out the rest of his days happy, healthy and loved until he passed away on July 5, 2010.

The experience with Scramble led us to start the Barkfeast fundraiser and that, along with support from our adopters and community of dog lovers led us to continue to take on tough medical cases and develop The Extra Mile Fund which helps us cover expenses for dogs needing additional care due to medical and/or social issues and all funds raised from Barkfeast are directed to The Extra Mile program.
