Abandoned puppy needs a foster home in order for us to take him into our rescue. Can you help?

MangePuppy

UPDATE: We posted this on Facebook and within minutes were able to secure a foster home for this pup. He will be admitted into our rescue later this week and more information will be posted shortly about his story. Thank you to Joy for being a great foster mom!

We need a COMMITTED foster home or we will not be able to help this 12-week old puppy. The pup was found behind a garage last night, taken to an area veterinary clinic, and is receiving care for demodectic mange. We were approached about taking the pup in but do not have space for another dog.  We count on fosters to help us save more lives. This puppy will need a constant foster home that is committed to veterinary appointments, socialization, and raising him until we can find him a home. We have helped care for lots of dogs and puppies with this condition, including Monkee, who was our most recent mange case.

If you have not fostered for us before please read about our foster program and then submit your application. We would prefer a home with only one other dog as to not overwhelm the pup. If you foster you must be willing to take the puppy to Gateway Animal Clinic for veterinary appointments as needed or give us ample notice to arrange for a back up volunteer. Although this looks like a horrific condition, it’s is 100% treatable with amazing results.
