Chance is a 7 year old poodle. He is house trained and neutered. He was surrendered to a local veterinary clinic, his owner could not longer care for him. He arrived with some balding on his backside. He was very neglected in his former home. We had a full health screening and blood panel done and Chance is healthy, just overweight! He does have a cataract in his right eye.
FOSTER HOME REPORT
Each day he continues to come out of his shell!! He sleeps with me how…. kind of in a cave of pillows he made for himself.. he managed to knock the top pillow in front of the lower pillow and he sleeps on the lower pillow. He has such an adorable snore. He is eating a little bit of the kibble. Still not much of a fan and I may try some wet dog food next just to see. He continues to go outside to potty too…. I’ve placed a sweater on him so his exposed skin doesn’t get wind burn from this lovely weather. He is also playing more with Scrappy and Scully. Once he’s done, he’s done. Like right now, he’s sleeping soundly on the back of the couch!! He has such a sweet personality and just enjoys being held and scratched. His little sausage tail wags 1 million times a minute just to show how happy he is!
We are not a traditional shelter, we are a cage-free facility. All dogs are temperament tested and must get along with other dogs to stay here. We prefer to adopt to local families but will consider long distance adoptions.
