Gelato

Gelato is a 6 month old Shepherd/Mastiff puppy. He has the cutest black masked face and long, skinny body. We do not believe he is going to be an extra large mastiff size breed, he just has a lot of the physical characteristics of the breed. There is really no telling how big he will get, we estimate between 60-75 pounds when fully grown. Gelato was picked up in the City of Cleveland and taken to the Animal Control facility. He was not reunited with his owner after a week long wait so he was available to move into a rescue group. We met him and instantly fell in love with his shyness and wanted to watch him blossom at our cage-free facility.

Gelato really loves the other dogs here and has slowly been introduced to our pack. He is a very gentle spirited pup and with guidance and a great owner he will make someone very happy. Gelato has some fear issues but he has come really far since being moved into a foster home. We are not recommending a home with small children – it’s too much activity for him and would only adopt to a home with kids that are 10+ in age. Gelato is up to date on shots, he will be neutered prior to his adoption.

We are not a traditional shelter, we are a cage-free facility. All dogs are temperament tested and must get along with other dogs to stay here. We prefer to adopt to local families but will consider long distance adoptions.

Adoption fees cover your dog being fully vaccinated, heartworm tested, spayed or neutered, health checked, temperament tested, micro-chipped and socialized
