Lennon

ADOPTED! January 26, 2015

LennonSHMLennon is a 2-3 year old hound mix. He is an energetic, happy-go-lucky boy with tons of love to give. He was picked up as a stray in Boone County, West Virginia and taken to the local shelter. He was there for awhile and then moved to a foster home when the shelter filled up. The shelter filled up again and so the volunteers for BARC needed to move foster dogs to rescue to make more room for dogs coming into the shelter. We had room and Lennon was transported north to meet one of our transport volunteers and he is now looking for a forever home. Lennon would be a great family dog and would enjoy exercise and attention. He knows some basic commands. He is moving to one of our foster homes so stay tuned for a report in the coming days! Lennon is about 40 pounds and neutered.

Foster Home Report

Lennon is great. Potty trained. Not a chewer. Can be left alone in the house with other dogs and without being destructive. He knows sit, down, and shake hands. He loves to chase the tennis ball, play tug of war, chase and be chased. He loves barking when outside and playing, but is pretty quiet inside. He’s very friendly to everyone we’ve had over. He hasn’t been around kids or cats but he’s very gentle so I think he’d be great with kids.  Why get a puppy when you can have someone just as cute and playful and who is 99.9% less work?? Choose Lennon!!

We are not a traditional shelter, we are a cage-free facility. All dogs are temperament tested and must get along with other dogs to stay here. Appointments must be made in advance to meet our Secondhand Mutts. Please call 216-664-9660 or email rescue@secondhandmutts.org to set up a time. We prefer to adopt to local families but will consider long distance adoptions.
