Roxy is an 8 year old Cockapoo that was surrendered by her owner to find a new home. She’s about 25 lbs. knows her basic commands and she’s good with cats and other dogs. She’s a little apprehensive and shy in her foster home living with 3 big dogs but we are taking it slow and hope over time she will feel more comfortable. Transitioning can be shocking to some dogs and Roxy is adjusting to her new environment as best as she can under the circumstances. She’s house trained and likes to be a lap dog. She would do best in a home with older kids (12+) as she startles easily. Because of her breed, she will need to be groomed every 1-2 months and eye goop needs to be wiped daily.

We are not a traditional shelter, we are a cage-free facility. All dogs are temperament tested and must get along with other dogs to stay here. Appointments must be made in advance to meet our Secondhand Mutts. Please call 216-664-9660 or email rescue@secondhandmutts.org to set up a time. We are closed on Sundays. We prefer to adopt to local families but will consider long distance adoptions.
