Stewie lost his home to no fault of his own….his owner wanted him to have a better life given there were some medical issues and home life would be difficult for his family. He was taken in by a friend and animal advocate who has been taking care of him for a few months along with her own 4 dogs, cat and grandchildren who visit often. Stewie gets along well with everyone! The friend has been a volunteer with us in the past and knew that we could find him a perfect home and given she has a full house and he is quite the catch we are now helping find him his third and final home.

Stewie is up to date on shots, he is microchipped and neutered. When he was living with his original owners a few years ago he was attacked by some larger dogs on the sidewalk. Stewie held his own and did get injured and since they he’s been a little shy around the bigger dogs. At home he does show some guarding with his person he chooses to lay down by but it’s not a behavior that escalates and he responds well to commands. He enjoys being around people the most and being on the couch or your lap. Stewie would make an excellent companion for someone looking for a buddy to hang out with, take walks and go for car rides. Stewie also has a little infatuation with squirrels and that behavior is something to curb and work on in his new home.
