11th Annual Pancake & Omelette Barkfeast featuring Local Chefs

Saturday, February 1, 2020

Come celebrate our 11th year serving up the best breakfast fundraiser in Cleveland! We have teamed up with local chefs who will be whipping up some tasty creations of their own for our guests.

In addition to serving our main event dish of both delicious plain buttermilk and chocolate chip filled pancakes we have teamed up with several local chefs who will be serving custom made omelettes. Special thanks to our participating chefs and restaurateurs
and event sponsors making this all possible….

Our Pancake Barkfeast started over a decade ago to honor a senior Doberman Pinscher we took him after he was thrown from a truck and taken to a shelter in Youngstown, Ohio. Under our care we were able to take care of the many bumps and bruises from being dumped and discovered shortly thereafter he was heartworm positive. We named him “Scramble” as we were scrambling for funds and came up with the idea of hosting a breakfast to raise the money for his care. Within a few weeks we were able to move him into a foster home which ultimately became his forever home. Scramble and lived his best life with his new family feeling happy, healthy and loved until he passed away on July 5, 2010.

This experience with Scramble led us to start what has since become our biggest fundraiser of the year and we are grateful for the support from our adopters and the community of dog lovers who believed in us.

The Extra Mile fund which helps us cover expenses for dogs needing additional care due to medical and/or social issues and the funds raised from the tickets sold at the annual Barkfeast are directed to the dogs who are a part of The Extra Mile program.
