We are so very lucky to have such a great network of friends and supporters. We’d like to personally thank our friend Tom, who shared Britton’s story on his Facebook page. His share sparked his friends, Robert and Johnny, in Boston to inquire about adopting Britton. Finding a way to make it happen was going to be a challenge given the 12 hour distance between Cleveland and Boston, so we started networking on Facebook. Our second big thank you goes to our friend, supporter ,and active volunteer Jessica. She shared our story and one of her friends happened to be driving to Boston, MA. We were able to connect with Lisa, and she took the time to come and meet Britton this week, take her on a walk, and we prepared her for her journey northeast.
Britton, now affectionately named Penny after one of her human Dad’s favorite childhood pet, who was named after Inspector Gadget’s niece, has arrived in Boston and started her snuggle fest in the arms of Johnny and Robert. Penny started off in Cleveland abandoned, scared, lonely and sick. She is still fighting pneumonia and be assured we are committed to her health care while in her new home. We know she is much better off where she can be an only dog, loved by her new owners, in a home where she can get the peace and rest she needs to feel better.
Thank you friends, supporters and Facebook for helping us get these four little paws home.
Welcome home Penny, welcome home.
