Buttercup

This timid gal has been at the City of Cleveland Kennel for 10 days waiting to see if her owner would claim her. She quickly became a volunteer favorite and the Friends of the Cleveland Kennel asked if we would take her in. It”s the shy, submissive, scared dogs that work well in our cage-free environment and we are hoping Buttercup is no exception to the rule. She will be looking for a forever home and until then we will find her a foster home to get to know her better and properly match her with a new owner.

We are not a traditional shelter, we are a cage-free facility. All dogs are temperament tested and must get along with other dogs to stay here. Appointments must be made in advance to meet our Secondhand Mutts. Please call 216-664-9660 or email rescue@secondhandmutts.org to set up a time. We prefer to adopt to local families but will consider long distance adoptions.
