ADOPTED! June 7, 2014
Yogi (formerly Ichabod Crane) was adopted two years ago by a family who fell in love with him and wanted to adopt a second Secondhand Mutt. They changed his name from Ichabod to Yogi and over the last two years took exceptional care of him. Due to some very serious, unexpected, health issues his family could no longer keep him. His primary caretaker who would walk him and spend the most time with him is ill and it was going to be a challenge for the family to step in.
Yogi was originally a stray left at the City of Cleveland Kennel. He was there for just shy of a month when we took him in and gave him a safe place to live and find a forever home. Yogi is a senior, Border Collie Mix. He has a beautiful long coat of fur that could be shaved down for summer or left with weekly brushing to keep up on his coat care. Yogi has lived with other dogs and a cat and does just fine. He does have some separation anxiety and can’t be crated or he will find his way out and possibly injure himself. Yogi is up to date on shots, he is neutered, microchipped and ready for a new lease on life.
We are seeking a foster home for Yogi so we can get to really know him and report back and match him up with the best family we can. If you are interested in fostering Yogi please email our volunteers at foster_coordinators@secondhandmutts.org.
We are not a traditional shelter, we are a cage-free facility. All dogs are temperament tested and must get along with other dogs to stay here. Appointments must be made in advance to meet our Secondhand Mutts. Please call 216-664-9660 or email rescue@secondhandmutts.org to set up a time. We prefer to adopt to local families but will consider long distance adoptions.
Dog Adoption Fee: $150
