ADOPTED! APRIL 14, 2014

Meet Killian! He is a red Lab/Terrier/Rodesian Mutt. He was brought to Gateway Animal Clinic a months ago as a stray with a hurt hind leg. The good folks at Gateway put a splint on his leg and let him rest for a month until he was ready to be released to rescue. He is still on restricted play for the next three weeks  and actively looking for a forever home. Killian is about 16 weeks old, he is up to date on shots and he will be neutered at the end of the month. He is currently living with 3 dogs in his foster home, he’s getting lots of playtime, socialization and discepline.

Killian will be attending Puppy Playtime at The Mutt Hutt Dog Training Center every Saturday at 10 AM until we find them a home. If you’d like to come meet one of them please email us at rescue@secondhandmutts.org. We do encourage interested parties to fill out our adoption application so we can get homes approved and place them quickly so they can grow up in a forever home this Spring. 

We are not a traditional shelter, we are a cage-free facility. All dogs are temperament tested and must get along with other dogs to stay here. We prefer to adopt to local families but will consider long distance adoptions.
