ADOPTED! February 20, 2014
Orson was surrendered to the City of Cleveland Kennel by his owners – he stayed there for the legal 10-day hold and was released to rescue and we were glad to save him. Our volunteer, Amanda, was his kennel cheerleader and she brought him up to The Mutt Hutt Grooming Salon for a spa day and then he passed our dog evaluation and is now resting comfortably. Orson loves to play, he’s met some staff dogs and other Secondhand Mutts and loves his dog bed in our offices. He is about 40 pounds. He reminds us of a miniature Saint Bernard but he’s probably a Border Collie mix of some sort. He is already neutered, up to date on shots and is seeking a foster home so we can learn more about him.
FOSTER HOME REPORT:
Coming once a foster home is secured!
Orson needs a foster home. If you are interested in fostering Orson please fill out our foster application and indicate Orson is the dog you are interested in taking home. If you have already filled out our foster form please email us at rescue@secondhandmutts.org. If you have general questions about our foster program please email fosterdogs@secondhandmutts.org.
We are not a traditional shelter, we are a cage-free facility. All dogs are temperament tested and must get along with other dogs to stay here. Appointments must be made in advance to meet our Secondhand Mutts. Please call 216-664-9660 or email rescue@secondhandmutts.org to set up a time. We are closed on Sundays. We prefer to adopt to local families but will consider long distance adoptions.
