Russell is a very nice beagle boy. He was picked up as a stray in the City of Cleveland and taken to the Animal Care and Control facility. Stray dogs are held for 3 days to allow owners to claim them and then they are either put up for adoption or taken in by local rescue organizations to find them homes. We were happy to take Russell into our program – he’s been a nice fit and he’s made lots of friends. Beagles are a scent oriented breed and often times they are found hounding around and running stray. Russell will need a home that understand the breed and their needs.

We are currently seeking a foster provider home for Russell. He’s come down with a cough (typical in a shelter environment) so he’s in a quarantine area away from other dogs and getting leashed walked exercise from our volunteers throughout the day.

Russell is up to date on shots, he is microchipped and neutered. He is ready to place as soon as we find a home suitable for his needs.
