Tacky is a two year old Flat-Coated Retriever/Chow mix (best guess!). He was surrendered by his owners due to a move. He just arrived so we are getting to know him and will update our website once he’s moved into a foster home. He was living in a home with adults and small children. He does not like having a collar on so it is going to take some time to get him desensitized to that, which we are working on. He wears a harness nicely. He is also comfortable with the pack of dogs but because he’s not neutered yet he’s been moved to a quarantine area and has limited activity with dogs but is playing nicely with Bear and Sloth.

We are not a traditional shelter, we are a cage-free facility. All dogs are temperament tested and must get along with other dogs to stay here. Appointments must be made in advance to meet our Secondhand Mutts. Please call 216-664-9660 or email rescue@secondhandmutts.org to set up a time. We are closed on Sundays. We prefer to adopt to local families but will consider long distance adoptions.
