Whiskey

Whiskey is a 6 year old pure bred German Shepherd. He has been at the Richland County Animal Shelter for months and a staff and volunteer favorite. They have tried tirelessly to get him transferred to rescue and when we had an open foster home and availability we took him in. Whiskey is underweight but that will be no problem to fix over the next few weeks. He is living in a foster home with 4 other shepherd mixes and a cat. He will be visiting Dr. Liz at Gateway Animal Clinic for a routine health exam and then he will be neutered when he’s at an appropriate weight for surgery. In the meantime, he is getting lots of love and all the attention he deserves until we can place him in a forever home.

We are not a traditional shelter, we are a cage-free facility. All dogs are temperament tested and must get along with other dogs to stay here. Appointments must be made in advance to meet our Secondhand Mutts. Please call 216-664-9660 or email rescue@secondhandmutts.org to set up a time. We are closed on Sundays. We prefer to adopt to local families but will consider long distance adoptions.
